I'm a realtor out on the east coast and I would say definitely have your realtor send you comps of homes that sold recently to get an idea of what people in your area are looking for. 

I have no idea what the tax code says, but I've seen people write this off on Schedule C with no subsequent audits to the best of my knowledge.

Hi Alex, for brokers I think one good idea is to look at Loopnet and see who the brokers are that keep coming up for properties.

The last thing you want is a tenant getting the idea you're sneaking onto the property to spy on them.However, the tenant's response always raises my curiosity.

Anybody have an idea on where or how to get the lowest price on title search for the property?

Am I entitled to get a copy of the completed Rental Application on persons they select so I have an idea who's in my home?
