I have a lead on a couple of empty lots within walking distance from the college.

I get paid very well right out of college so this right now is an easy way to save up money, but that is an interesting and great way that you have that set up.

I’ve felt a weight on my shoulders and a sense of worry each week about being in something I don’t have a purpose in (college) and haven’t felt this sense of anxiousness and worry for awhile, but this month made me realize how much pursuing real estate for me really means and have been debating on “quitting” (which I honestly don’t have guilt for) college.

Hi BP, After graduating college and reIocating to the Twin Cities about a year ago, I recently just landed my first duplex which I am about to begin house hacking this upcoming month.

Venues for marriage ceremonies and high school/college graduations.

Between us both still working full time, our 401ks, my 2 pensions, a primary residence 4 years away from paid off, social security, wife’s government pension, her 401, & working full time, with kids out of college & college paid off, we have mutual desire for owning lakefront log cabin.

This is a college town of about 60k people anyone that has any advice on if this is a good idea or not? 

I am about to put together a competitive offer for a multifamily around $400k in college town with over 9% cap rate, however so far I do not have a buyer's agent at this point. 

I rent to about 130-140 students and I've found it pretty hard to figure out what college kids care about other than:1) Location to something fun (bars or football stadiums)2) Huge bedrooms and/or living room3) A combination of the first twoIt's my experience that their housing choice is almost always an emotional decision (i.e. they can picture themselves having a lot of fun at the place they're going to live).
