I would bet money that the most popular cabins have the easiest access to GSP and have all the "amenities" like high-speed internet and cable/satellite tv, things that most "outdoorsy" people don't care all that much about since they're going to be standing in a river casting for trout all day.

Shut off internet and TV.

Kind of like comparing apples to oranges not all loans have the same closing fees etc. some loans are bait and switch.

For locations that need 3 prongs like fridge, tv, etc I will replace them with GFCI and connect to a local ground source like a pipe as you suggest.

One in my market has as one of the GPs one of the primaries (the RE agent) from a tv show on finding luxury properties.  

My idea is turn it in a 4/3 converting the basement into a conforming bedroom with window and closet and a tv room/living room and the laundry into a bathroom and put the washer and dryer in the garage.
