The old colors are very bright and bold, so a coat of primer, such as Kilz or Bullseye, on the baseboards is in order first.What would be a fair price for what would basically be a full day's work for one person?

- if you are painting & replacing doors and baseboard and everything is the same color - have everything on site so if the painter is using a sprayer - they paint the doors and everything at the same time.5.

I'm more of a numbers guy who likes finding the deal, negotiating, etc while my wife enjoys the marketing part (flyers, picking colors, staging, etc) so works well .... but if we both enjoyed the same parts of real estate, I could see issues arising which end up spilling from the business to family side of things.

@Robert Conroy Those basement systems when I looked into them were almost the same price as a local basement remodeler without the ability to easily make changes in the future(which doesn't matter as much to you I realize).Personally unless it is a really bad DIY job or your target price range is high I would paint the paneling a light beige color to brighten it up put down some new carpet from Home Depot without padding (~$0.69/sq ft + $150 install from a local installer from my last basement job) and call it good.

Even if they want rooms different colors unless you have neutral colors you will have the rooms the wrong color.

I know.. it's confusing and I wish my financial advisor knew more about real estate rather than just stocks and bonds...3) what is your approximate tax bracket on these stocks you are cashing in (assuming long term gains) which can vary by state too : The company stocks I have been using are long term gains (so 15%), but I'm in the 35% tax bracket now but teetering very close to the 39.6% bracket4) what type of yearly return do you expect over say the next 10 years if you leave your funds in those stocks ?
