I said I don't want to have deals come to me that have gone to 50 other people if I want that I can just get on MLS..or the auction sites.. if you want to send me a deal and only me.. then OK.. well that pretty much ended that. :)

Hello everyone, Being new to REI I am meeting with a lender to talk over a few options available to me.

The house had a major drainage problem under the house where water would stand for long periods of time. ( it was not disclosed to me)The house had been in a fire prior to him selling it to me. ( this was not disclosed either)The seller was super willing to finance it to me at a price that was double what it was worth even if it it didn't have the issues.

You have to bring in a 20% down payment and they also share in the profits.....it sounds very expensive to me and not like a model that would allow you the control you would want to have?

He complained to me one day that he feels most of the snotty members look down upon him because of his JOB.

This seems risky to me because the improvements you are making will raise the value of the home which gives the seller a conflict of interest.

I sent a letter explaining what happened, and he said to me, your report shows that's exactly what happened.
