Since it usually comes in first on a Google search for your/company name it can be useful for those who are looking for you.I know some people in the tech indusstry who get job offers (legit ones) based off of their LI profile, but for those of us in real estate, I think it is better suited as a vetting tool.

But we should also remember that exurban areas got clobbered in the 2008 collapse, and we are definitely having another correction in the next 2-5 years.The Albany area could be interesting, because it has arrested its population decline and the state is investing major resources in transforming the area into a nano tech hub.

The key in any city is just know what areas to invest in, and which ones not to.3)  Agreed there's not a big tech industry in Stockton, but there's lots of schools (including several colleges), hospitals/medical facilities, and it's also close enough that you could commute to Sacramento or the Bay Area if you wanted to.

Hey gang,I am a would-be, turned soon-to-be first time investor, and I'm about to move forward on a property right in the shadow of Georgia tech. it's a small duplex, 1br/1ba each, one of those smaller homes nearby. asking price is 250,000. condition is ok.I've run some numbers, and my realtor is going to run some more with me, but I wanted to see what other Atlanta Investors might tell me?
