Are there ever really exceptions?

@James Riggs I know this was two years ago but did you ever find what you were looking for?

Has anyone ever came across a property that really didn't require any work.

I just don't see myself ever looking back and saying 'why did I pay my house off!?'

Also when you say you negotiated for all 3 of us to take over the mortgage that worries me because the "thing" taking over the mortgage should be a trust, LLC, etc. and never ever an individual person.

It was the most stressful, mind numbing work i have ever done, as i struggled to find one single aspect of the job i enjoyed doing.

That one single person who has ever been accurate did so by going to the FICO website, he clicked "show me the scores used by mortgage lenders," paid $20, and I ran his credit on the exact same day & the exact same number for all three bureaus (which meant it was a waste of his $20 in retrospect).

Consider this a $100 lesson and move on.Don't ever start an application until you have the money, a complete application (no blanks), and all supporting documentation (proof of income, picture ID, etc.)If you have more than one person applying together (husband/wife, friends, etc.) then you don't start ANY of the applications until ALL applicants have provided you with everything.You should also have a statement that application fees are non-refundable under any circumstance.
