You may want to research STR in Raleigh/Durham because I've heard many people say that they are working to pass legislation which would only you to STR if it's your primary residence and allow a certain number within the city.

and I'll wrap in number 4 here too is saying that the ICC (International Code Council) does put out a report twice a year (https://www.iccsafe.org/codes-tech-support/codes/c...), but unless you know the occupancy type and the construction type this doesn't do you much good. 5.
