On the few times I was present lookers asked absurd insulting questions. 

Is the issue in the presentation of the deal, in other words, the marketing side coupled with human interaction lacking the pertinent factors that make it a win-win?

It's absurd.

I use the form for emergency purposes should something happen at the rental I can provide a list of all occupants (human and animal).  

This is a loan that you will be liable for 30 years so it is best you talk to someone with a personal - human - relationship with and get the right figures and expected costs and rates. 

@David Noh definitely some cheaper property in chicago but i don't love owning rentals there. 200-300k is still too expensive, their taxes are ABSURD out there, and laws very very heavily favor the tenants.

While each real estate deal is unique, the overlying concept here is that while money is cheap right now, current valuations across the country are absurd.

It's not a role that attracts the best human capital as its widely regarded as a loss leader in the real estate industry.  

It is absurd to ban the handyman from your property when you invited them to put up the fence and offered to pay for it.
