In terms of the basement and attic potentially not being warm enough, I'd be a little bit concerned about that because landlords are required to keep units at 68 degrees during the day and 66 at night from September through May.

I have lived most of my life in Dallas County all of my life except for the years I went to college in Denton and got my degree (in 1980) and am talking to a friend that has lived in Denton all of his life (about 63 years).

When you give advice, people can learn a little about you to see where the information is coming from and maybe why you said what you said because of your background of knowledge.From having advanced degrees I would imagine that you have a very strong cognitive ability to solve problems quite easily on your own.

I agree that some areas of study have limited use, but there are fields that are essential to our standard of living that you cannot prepare for properly without a college degree (engineering, medical, physical sciences, etc.).
