Everyone got excited, Zillow was going "disrupt Real Estate," and "change the paradigm," and all the other marketing BS the techno-weenies in Silicon Valley spew about Real Estate (and every other cause celeb bandwagon they jump on trying to make a buck by automating everything - anyone remember web-based grocery deliveries?) 

We also hope to start a direct mail campaign to find deals for wholesaling, flipping, and buy and holds.We have not done a deal yet, but are excited for this new adventure.

Not super excited about being an absent investor, but Boston REI just doesn't make sense to me.Add to that the fact that MA eviction laws heavily favor the tenants (I've heard some real horror stories) and REI just isn't an option for me here in Boston.Anyway, @Alex T.

I am so excited to announce my first real estate success!

Since then I've worked to put my marketing company on auto pilot as much as possible so I can focus the majority of my time on note investing.We are working on a seller financing model with several top producing REO brokers and agents that I'm very excited about.I have a 15 year old son as well.

I excitedly checked the taxes they were paid up to date, I found the name of the owner, but haven't sought him out yet because I found info that the property will be auctioned 8/2014.
