Maybe we adjust the numbers on our offer to compensate but nobody is stopping what we are doing.

I simply move too fast for banks, and I'm smart with debt, so if I can ride an interest-free credit card balance for 18 months, you bet I will.

@Daniel Kevin LaraI rented by the room in my first house hack and basically just looked at comparable rents for entire units (similar property types, looking on Craigslist and Zillow for the most part) and divided by the number of rooms I was renting, then maybe adjust up or down based on the quality of your property.

You have to be focused to create a plan, but open to constantly adjusting it as @Dominick Galinis said first.

If so, you’re best bet is probably to hire someone separately to fix the problems to save the sale.

You need to look at the sale of duplexes close by to start formulating what they go for, then perhaps add a price adjustment upwards for price/condition, assuming other duplexes are old.

Best bet for you and them is for them to find a more affordable arrangement.

Try hitting up a agent and let them know what you are looking for and I bet they could have you a property that would work.
