Because what's going to happen is this is a scammer using a fake or stolen credit card, and you won't get paid. 

There is a reason credit card rates are 20-30%... 

@Steven Catudal You are free to deduct and will probably get away with it.Do keep in mind if the tenant sues you hold very bad cards for court.

They also have a "reserve" fee in which they collect 10% of every credit card transaction and hold it for 90 days before releasing it back.

And seeing it was on a no interest credit card I think of it as just borrowing money, not going into bad debt.
