Are you new to real estate investing or just to the forums?

For those who have or had section 8 investments (especially in my market) how would you describe your experience?

When that happens, it becomes a race to the bottom.I'm not saying don't invest there, but be extra cautious and maybe look for something that makes it unique.

The big issue is building a single small residential unit is the most expensive residential development.Here is a list of why adding a single ADU in single family zoned areas in my CA market is typically a poor RE investment:1) The value added by the ADU addition is often significantly less than the cost of adding the ADU.

If you can get to 10 over a 20-year period, you will change your life and look like a genius.Increase earnings, reduce expenses, save, and invest.

@Marcus Retter welcome to BP.It's a great community.I've been investing in Albuquerque for 10 years, and you can find some good deals there.Personally, I live in Santa Fe.There are several active Meetups that you can join to get around to other investors.Networking is really important.Get out there and make connections with other investors; that is how I got started. 

So, being an agent is detrimental to investing.   

A relative who does long-distance real estate investing told me that I have to sign the final loan document and the transfer of ownership document in person.
