Multi-family First purchase (2-4units)- Seattle VS. Texas
4 May 2019 | 39 replies
My question, would you stay focused on Seattle where we live currently, know the market well and I also have my real estate license in WA but finding a deal under a mil, seams almost impossible and could take awhile or focus on a new market like (Mckinney/ Allen/ Frisco / Plano areas) learn the market and buy our first multi family there since it's so much more affordable.

Realistic purchase criteria in the current market

I would like to get local opinions on whether I may realistically find this in the current market or if I may need to adjust what I’m looking for:I would like to buy a 2-4 unit property in the Dallas area (Coppell, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Addison, Richardson, Plano, North Dallas, or Irving north of 114 -or maybe 183).

I am sure you have done some due diligence online but here are some reads on water heaters in Irving. http://westplumbing.net/plano-plumbing-tips/irving...http://westplumbing.net/plano-plumbing-tips/dallas...Notice that the Dallas article says that FVIR heaters do not need to be elevated but not sure if the same applies for Irving or not.
