Arlington Texas paramedic looking to gain more financial freedom.

Hello to all!

22yr old full time paramedic looking to gain better financial freedom through real estate investing. Currently working full time as a Paramedic and love what I do but what I don't love is the lack of freedom I have from working the almost 50- 70 hours a week. My first goal that I want out of real estate investing would be to buy a live in property and rent out the rest of the rooms and have someone else pay (or help pay) my mortgage so I can work less and go back to school to finish up my bachelors. I know this isn't a get rich quick industry and it takes time and dedication but I like the fact that investing if done right is a solid and sound way to gain financial stability.

Currently I am still reading and researching my options, talking with a lender, and working extra hours to gain more funds for purchasing or renovating a property.  Haven't gotten with a realtor yet just due to the fact that I haven't gotten a loan approved yet but once I get a number that is when I feel things will start moving.  Thanks to all for taking the time to read this and if you have any pointers or tips for a young gun let me know, If you live in the Arlington Area I would love to hear from ya! Thank you!
