As you've described it, I think this is a horrible idea.

Their resistance is they believe nobody has cash for a 10-20% down and that everybody has horrible credit.

If you like Atlas Shrugged (not the horrible movie(s), but the excellent book), read The Fountainhead and Anthem.

The agents are horrible, never call back, cancel appointments, and they dont look for an apartment for you, they will just show you.

I just wanted to be sure because like you said Ryan people will sometimes either lie or not have all the correct information and i've seen people go under contract and end up having a great deal turn into a horrible one real quick because of issues the owner was unaware of.
