I used to run a national mortgage company and had an investment firm in CA working on solely residential property in different locations and the got into multifamily acquisitions starting in 2018. 

Back when I was in the acquisition side at a large apt holding firm, every property was in a separate LLC, and when I spoke to investors there (Nebraska) it seemed like small and large investors kept everything in LLCs as well.Not sure if it is just state by state or what, because I always thought that was the way you did things as an investor.

I am a firm believer that Colorado Springs is a great place to invest due to its strong economy, temperate climate, beautiful views and easy access to outdoor activities.The market is starting to show signs of being depressed, meaning that there will be more opportunities for investors to find some great deals. 

However, I tried to conduct some research on the two firm founders - Anthony Grosso and Christopher Palermo - to find out where they worked before, what expertise they had managing CRE, who they were associated with, etc. - typical due diligence items to gain confidence and assess credibility before turning over any of my hard earned money.

Now, I have used my VA loan multiple times and firmly believe in using it when you can.
