Cook county has some funny regulations and I want to be in my right to get him out.

A couple of the developers have been Assisted Living Facilities.He is wanting to see if there is some way to lease his parents land to one of these developers, so his parents can either retire to one of the Facilities, or provide them with a monthly income so they can live in another one.  

This is an $850k equine facility, the owner and I agree that offering terms will open it up to a lot of people getting started in the business- just want to have some idea of what he can/should offer, and things to watch out for!

It just seems to make sense to get out of Illinois (especially Cook County) with outrageous property taxes, the new soda tax, and speculation of another rise in property taxes soon.

I'd avoid Cook (Crooks) county but the rest of the state is pretty decent!

@James Riley Cook Your best bet is to talk to a mortgage broker instead of a bank.

I've bought 3 houses in the past 20 months and have an offer in on a 37 unit self storage facility.

I also researched that I might be able to file a motion with the court asking for "use and occupation" for the tenant to pay rents while the case is going on... but not sure if this is applicable for IL cook county and how likely will we get the rents...Can you provide me advice on how to proceed? 

But I bet your market is different, and you may have other events, businesses, facilities, or institutions which you can use for long-term rentals.

The only way I would consider it is a convection cook top, which is too expensive to justify in a rental.
