But thatâs a whole different and unrelated story đI DO think however that your suggestion to get involved with clubs and different organizations offers a very valuable and priceless opportunity that I need to consider.I am definitely not anti-college or anything of the sort , and have even considered the option of transferring to a college closer to home to help solve the issue above, which conveniently would also give me a place to stay where I wouldnât have to pay rent.Thank you again for your input as I weigh all my options here in this exciting time of life!

What if it becomes unpopular to raise rent and rent controls come, what if it becomes unpopular to evict people, so you get anti eviction laws, what if it becomes unpopular to have some people own more than one residence so they take all of your residences but one and give them to others who did not pay for them or earn them.Â

Glad to see you're not totally anti cheap cash flow rental- the risks you're describing are all things range from "complete disqualifier" to "must be offset by substantial returns".

Also, as an anti-tactic, when representing a seller I refuse to look at inspection reports, and only negotiate using the standard contract forms haha.

There is a potential rule where, if the buyer turns around and SELLS it back to the defaulted party, the lender may have a claim to go back after the previous owner and reinstate a lien, but nothing about renting it back to them and, I've only seen that happen in short sales, never in a foreclosure sale.Heck, for that matter, the borrower can be the buyer at their own foreclosure sale if they want, and if its in California or any other anti deficiency state, they get the benefit of buying it back for less than what's owed.
