Would you rent an STR to these women?
Background: Next month the largest maintenance operation in the history of the refinery in my town is going to start. It'll take 6-8 months. My towns population is 9500. From start to finish of this operation, there will be 5000 men coming to town to work this operation. Day shift and night shift, 12 hours a day, 13 days in a row, 14th day off, repeat. The 5000 men won't be here at the same time, but that is how many men will be coming through for the duration of the operation.
Scenario: There is going to be a group of 3, 4 or 5 attractive unattached ladies that want to rent an STR from me for the duration of the operation. They are going to tell me that they have a cousin or some relative that's a foreman or something like that with a company doing the work. They will tell me that they do workers laundry, cook meals for groups and clean whatever accommodations the workers are staying in (camper, travel trailer, motel room, one of my STRs) for money.
If I put 5 working guys in a house with 5 beds, 2 washer, 2 dryers, 2 refridgerators I would charge $1000/week. If I put these 5 women in a house like that, do you think I could justify telling them I'm charging extra because the utilities for doing laundry and cooking are going to be high? If so, how much extra should it be? How much do you think each lady is going to make per week doing this traveling job? The average weekly take home pay for guys is around $2500. I'm assuming the ladies will have a day shift and night shift too.
I like to have the answer to a new situation before the situation happens.
