Since you alluded to the fact the property is a lower priced property, its even more important to complete an inspection moving forward with similar purchases because its more difficult to absorb this cap ex repair.

A unit that dies fast is 15 years. 80% of repairs are caps for $250, 15% are $500-$750 motor/compressor/etc.
