I am a newbie to real estate development with property in Jamaica, Vermont on which we are thinking about building one or more structures that could be used as (vacation) rental units.

It went so well we are doing it again this week, but it got me wondering, what are your favorite and most profitable ways to fix up a property WITHOUT using carpet and paint rehab fix ups.  

We are thinking about trying another title company to push it through...

The community is starting a counter campaign so I'm just posting here to convey that Vieques is open for business and we are emphatically NOT a major disaster area.

I'll be honest, 9 times out of 10 normal wear and tear would dent or bend the blinds throughout the year lease.

I am working with a homeowner right now, who has a SFR on his land and then a separate manufactured home on it as well, but since it has been zoned and shows on title as a 2 unit, we are financing his property.

Finally pulled the trigger on our first duplex and we are excited about that.  

We are not upset with my stepdad, plus he's now in his mid 80's - we thought it would be wrong to attempt to force him to move this late in his life.
