Once you've purchased a couple of properties, your confidence level rises and you continue plugging along.

I got a deal for a no interest for 12 months for CC with a flooring company, the rest I put on a capital one card, the balance was only there a couple months so I did not pay too much in interest. 

.$1500 to paint the whole house seems high to me, but only because I know I can paint a place that size myself in a couple of days. 

I would absolutely NOT do it any other way, from our next couple units in DE or an SFR ranch house in Phoenix.
