You might get a biased answer on Bigger Pockets since we are all real estate nerds :) But if I had $100,000 set aside ready to invest in something for a profit, I would only be looking at investing in something I know very well.

I listened to bigger pockets religiously, but barely participated in the forum.

This is my first post on bigger pockets.

Once you have at 5% of a down payment saved up and a better idea of what area you want to invest in and your end game goals, house hack a multi family and continue working/saving.

I'd look for nicer pockets in C class areas that you wouldn't mind living and can find good tenants in when you would move out.

A lot has been written about the pros and cons of Subject To on Bigger Pockets.

Would becoming a Real Estate Agent after my normal work day to learn the game be a good move?
