You can only ask someone that invests in the same age/type properties in the same market as you.

I also had a plan in-place to take care of the tenants in this type of scenario (I have space heaters, generators, military blankets and other supplies on standby for emergencies)...but, without a plan in place, and the best HVAC pro in the business to respond at 6 pm on New Year's Eve, I would've been in deep trouble...needless to say, I gave my HVAC guy a serious tip for helping to save the day...In this case, the furnace could be repaired for about $1,250, or replaced for around $5k.

you're building equity and only paying a little more than you would renting.i hear you on how expensive small multis are in NYC, but maybe expand your search radius and property type? 

Smaller properties in good locations that have undergone a beautiful reno can get closer to $1.5/sq ft.Narrow down the product type, criteria, and goal, and happy to help provide more specific locations and #s.

If you have lots of experience perhaps you don’t need this type of service and since you’re going through a wholesaler I’m not sure there’s much more money to be saved.
