And it’s not different when we started our house hunting.

As you know, PCS is always hard, 10 days of house hunting may find you a house but then you still need to close on that house, etc.

Happy wife, happy...The compromise is for us to house hack a multi, so we can at least lighten costs on the front end.We're on the hunt for a duplex / triplex in West LA.

@Clarence Johnson I’m hunting for my first purchase and my fingers are crossed for a duplex deal like THAT!

I simply don't have the time or experience to hunt for deals, manage renovations and sell or screen tenants.

I'll throw this out there in case anyone thinks it should also be in the mix with the other projects.I have a large-acreage rural tract in an area with moderate seasonal tourist population demand for outdoors activities (hiking, camping, hunting, etc.) that I'd like to explore developing in the following ways:D1) Rebuild uninhabitable existing home as LTR, STR, and/or family vacation home and a place for someone in the family (maybe myself) to retire eventually.

Really excited about the potential growth and hunt for property here. 

Get a couple of bird dogs out there and see if they will hunt you down some people who want to get out from under their current mortgage.
