The only time you would really report rental income on schedule C is when you operate as a hotel (short turnover, providing maid services, cooking meals).If you do erroneously report rental income on schedule C, you will subject that income to self employment tax.

As a potential homebuyer and someone who cooks a lot, I would be turned off by walking into my kitchen to find laundry and a noisy, space-consuming machine or two that doesn't look like it belongs.

Just take your own utility bills for the last 2 years and see how close you are to 1-2% year over year increase.I calculated on one of my apartment buildings that if oil goes up next year as much as it did this year I would have to raise rent 7% for each unit just to break even.

The reason people like them is to reduce the amount of oil needed.

Under normal conditions the cook county courts are back up months for evictions, add in that they have been closed for the last 6 weeks and it might be 4 months after you file before you can even get a court date.

After three years I did a formal inspection and found all this oil.
