@Justin Silverio hosts a really good quarterly event in Woburn and Ann hosts the Black Diamond event in Waltham (2nd meeting in Worcester) which is worth the drive.Are you looking right into buying apartments in NY or do you want to get your feet wet locally first.  

I definitely suggest you come to the monthly BP meetup that @Brie Schmidt hosts. 

We happened to visit an open house, hosted by an assistant.

I'd also like others to share their goals, and what they're thankful for, and any tips for me below ;)Progress Since Joining BPSince I first joined BP in March of 2011 from a referral from Johnson Hong, I have purchased 12 units (4plexes, duplex, SFHs) between 4 addresses by myself and with 2 different partners in the last 2 years, started a monthly meetup group in Oakland, and hosted a big RE Networking Summit in SF last weekend w/ about 200 other RE investors and 20 inspiring speakers and panelists from BP, mentored several newer investors, borrowed from and done deals with other BP members, and gained a huge network of wonderful people :) I was inspired to meet @Aaron Mazzrillo  ... and many more!!!

Sorry for that big, orange, nitrous oxide cloud a couple years back, by the way.Always open to new ideas!
