Pursue and invest your time in what you enjoy, and you'll never work a day in your life!

I'm at the point in my life where I would like to enjoy my life with my family and travel and be my own boss and not having to work for  less then I am worth.

I am currently living in an expensive city for work, but am looking for less expensive markets where I'd enjoy to live, and where I could earn a living while ramping up a passive stream.  

I imagine that this would be a safer option because you could A) have tenants help to service your debt B) have up to a 30 year payback period C) write off interest debt D) depreciate the property E) enjoy lower interest rates.Am I missing something?
