Check with your city/county zoning and planning to make sure it’s zoned for what you want to do.  

Here's my scenario.My husband & I are renovating a house that we own outright (approximate worth is 350k).....we are interested in taking money to finish the renovation & also we have an interest in buying another investment property.

Purchased it for 210k with a private money loan that financed 100% of the purchase price and 100% of rehab.

I simply wasn't as committed to making it work for me in the beginning as I should've been.
