While many were clawing over the Smokies, Joshua Tree etc and saying that you should only invest in vacation destinations I was quietly investing in a midsize city and enjoy great occupancy 10.5-11 months of the year.

With any lender though, the DSCR requirement is probably higher,  some lenders start asking for tax returns, in place rents becomes more important, current occupancy, and other factors that a residential property does not have to worry about.

A lot of the discussions here are going to be very much a North American application to investing since regulations and financing are somewhat similar for the US/CA, but likely different for Africa/Europe etc.

I have some property in the Netherlands but I am curious about investing in other countries. 

Why would they want to invest in you?

I've been the owner of a medium-sized business for the past 7 years. 40 years old now and I'm beginning to pivot and re-invest capital into real estate.

Regarding costs there are a lot of factors considered but to give you a ballpark idea, here is a brief scenario: Our main office is based out of Cherry Hill NJ, a typical 3 bedroom row-home lead-paint inspection in that area would cost on average $450, however we can service the entire state of New Jersey (North Jersey office in Montclair, NJ).
