In this specific instance though, a dog being brought into an unfamiliar environment, meeting unfamiliar people and being skittish and peeing on the floor wouldn't be considered abnormal to me.

In general, we don't allow tenants to get non-contained pets during their tenancy (contained meaning a fish in a fish tank, a turtle in a bowl, etc) for those reasons.
