I understand the issues of police powers, on the other hand there is an issue with restricting the ability of earning the fruits of the property and taking the use without compensation.

For any particular property in any particular year, you may do somewhat better or quite a bit worse.You can also earn a slice of that 50% if you do the management and minor maintenance yourself.

@rob i worked doing tax prep for a well known franchise once, what you are saying is very true the reality i saw of people earning 15 000 usd a year and getting 8 000 in refunds is really unsettling,its by no means fair i would point out that i still however prefer the life that i have mapped out for myself and would rather be a productive member of my community and have the ability to earn my money than have a government cap on it.

My experience with Section 8 is that even if they are good tenants, they likely won't have extra funds for things like air filters, bug spray, weed killer, little things that can help keep your home in good shape.
