PDX is also very unfriendly to landlords, so we are selling the home there, and will be investing the proceeds here in Kentucky in two (according to my wife) or three (I hope) homes that we can rent and earn some passive income once she's done with the Army in ten-or-so years.We expect one more duty station after we leave Kentucky and hope to use our VA benefits to purchase a home wherever that might be to add to the portfolio (We really wish we'd been smarter and done the same in Denver and Long Island).

They want to stay because they think the foreclosure has problems and is not legal, but will NOT get an attorney to file a court case.Sometimes the occupants are renters and they get special treatment and have rights to stay for certain periods of time, check with your state's laws, it changes.

I was afraid that she was going to file bankruptcy when she got over loaded and the BK court would force me to let her live in my rental without rent until they settled her issues.Her debt was mostly credit cards, used the $ on trips, eating out, expensive clothes and purses and shoes.
