If his credit capacity is sufficient, and his experience sufficient, he may be able to obtain a loan from institutional sources to compliment whatever capital he’s personally able and willing to contribute.  

And the borrowing would occur on the behalf of the trust via a line of credit of some sort?

They offer to pay 3-6 months of rent for someone with presumably no credit history and no way of paying the rent after that time elapses.

Which means, since its under the name of the business - next time your credit is run the next lender will not see or ask about the debt. 

Credit is excellent(low 800s), income is good(85k a year), and debt is very low.

Try community banks and credit unions in your area. 

There are benefits to a well-run team that might come at a cost, but IMO your goal should be to learn as much as possible in the beginning. 

I’m very new to all this so I’ve no idea how to run someone’s credit, or even the legality of it all.

I just recently got laid off, but with 790 credit score, hence, my options are somewhat limited.
