A little back ground, we both have owned businesses and now want to venture together into real estate.  

The developer has a civil engineering background, so I'm not sure exactly how I would be able to help estimate new construction costs.I would like to help this developer, as I think it would be good experience, but its starting to look like my lack of experience may prevent me from my assistance. 

I come from an Insurance Background.

All I'm waiting on now is my background check to clear to start working.

I have found that it really weeds out the B.S. callers and when a person provides their info before hand they keep their appointments.I do a separate digital application with Cozy when I have whittled the field and get ready for background check.

The only background I have in real estate is when I bought my house last year. 

The 4th is rented through April and was in the best shape.For tenants that want a new lease, I have them fill out an application and I pay for the background check- not their fault that I bought the place and they have to go through screening again!

If they refuse to allow the 2nd tenant to go through a background check then I would move on and find another tenant.  

Hi Craig,Tenants approve the credit and background checks when they pay for them on Cozy - there's no extra approval needed.

Sounds like we have similar backgrounds and focuses, just on different sides of the state.
