It also saves space and labor (less joist pockets that have to be busted out of the brick, less joists to shim and level into joist pockets, less joists to glue and nail together, etc.).

@Jay Hinrichs whose words on these BP forums I have to say are worth more than gold, really nails it that TK generally works if you know the people who will be taking care of your property very intimately, as well as if you scale your TK properties (i.e. you own 20-100+ properties rather than just 1 or 2).
