Hey Everybody, I am a college junior getting my studying for my degree in finance and hoping to pursue a career in real estate/development.

I'm thinking of taking a course at my local college, however, I don't know if that would be best.

I will be graduating college in the spring and want to make sure I'm in the right mindset for the real world.

You college experience counts as work experience so you will be good to go on work history. 

The fire dept turned off the water at the street by the time our guy got there, and the City quickly got involved exerting a fair amount of pressure.In the interests of keeping this story short, these are all the things that we had to do: Communicate with the property owner, the tenants, and the city constantly, offer hotel rooms to affected tenants (some took us up on this), secure the building from future squatters, get the water main and all pipes thawed out, have the water company turn the water on at the street, have a crew of plumbers isolate and repair/replace broken pipes in a muddy crawl space, clean up the mess created by the water in the basement/crawl space, get into all apartments to inspect for damage, test and get water service restored, and repair some internal damage to one of the apartments (that's still in progress), and apologize to the tenants. 

But they are nervous that could happen at any moment and our intentions have always been to sell the home or keep it and move sister in-law out and rent it out to college students since the home is 3 blocks away from a well-known university.

Don't forget that many local codes may also require closets to be considered as bedrooms even though that is not part of international building codes.

What are some determining factors you would use as guidelines when deciding to move forward with any of the listed professionals above.I'm in the Houston market and as some of you know its a bit pricey , would you consider when starting out investing looking into tertiary markets outside of the Houston area , ( El Campo , Wharton , Edna ,  League City , Galveston , College Station , Waller , Prairie View , Lake Jackson , Galveston etc ) .
