Even though the state of Texas enacted legislation creating the series llc back in 2009, few people are using it.

While I know you mentioned commission based salary, I would make sure you create specific goals which if met gives them an added bonus. 

If you can reinvest that in something that creates more cash-flow at a equal or greater interest rate spread (with appreciation potential) then that would be compelling. 

While the city council’s societal heart may be in the right place (for the tenants getting priced out of the Seattle) the onslaught of recent ordinances (1st in time application - challenged and overturned in Court, limits on move-in costs / pet fees, no criminal checks, etc.) these have in many cases encroached and/or completely ignored landlord/property owner rights and create such complex regulations that it is in many cases not feasible or cost effective for small mom & pops to manage their own properties, so they reach out to pros and pass the costs along to the tenants.

Instead I settled for where I was at in life and became complacent because naturally I hate change or risks .now I have a new vision and realize no one is going to do this for me , I must create the life I want by willful actions not dreams .

Your heart is telling you to pay it off, and financially it may make more sense to use your cash creating a better return.
