@Andy C.is correct that there are certain areas of Manila that are definitely dangerous and you really need to know the area before investing. 

I know the trust protects the property from outside dangers (IRS etc) but does it protect from legal action from within?

There is something illegal about it because Federal laws trump state laws and the Feds don't recognize medical marijuana laws.DEA states it's a Schedule I substance with no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States.The DEA doesn't want a casual user they only want the growers and trafficker of larger quantities of pot.

I don't think I would spend $8000 fighting this seemingly substance-less prohibition.

It is good to get a cheap price, but at a certain point this becomes dangerous.  

So what happens if the landlord's insurance doesn't allow dangerous breeds like german shepards, but the tenant wants a german shepard as an ESA.
