I highly suggest you to read, "The Ultimate Beginner’s Guide to Real Estate Investing".

My concerns on whether this is ultimately the place for me for the next 5-10 years center around ROI.  

Allaenna we are lifelong Louisiana residents so we've watched the NO market survive for years, it's very attractive.Chris, I have family in Houma, a great area.
