Even if you did, The money won’t be in your account until sometime in January and you certainly aren’t recording the money until it’s cleared the bank.Further info on prepaid rents, though Oregon was cloudy on just about everything other than monthly balances being reported to the tenant and 2x being owed by landlord if not returned within 31 days  other states as noted vary significantly  Prepaid rent and security deposit rules: Each state has rules regarding security deposits, and some states may only allow a landlord to collect first and last month’s rent plus a security deposit — and nothing else.

@Joe Villeneuve The rent in the area definitely varies a lot, but it is reasonable to get a triplex where you can rent out of of the 3 bedroom units for 1500-1600 a month.
