The ego plays such a large role in REI, you only have to read the forums every day to see that, that we need times like this to stop us from thinking we need to get to 100 doors and start realizing we could probably make the same money with 10 smart doors.

The only thing we know definitively is that we want this house as our home for retirement and we don't want to rent it out for at least several months while we see how everything plays out in terms of the economy, landlord restrictions due to COVID-19, and whether or not we are going to move into the home sooner than we thought.Advice is much appreciated.

I am playing with the idea of calling land owners to buy cheap land for myself and broker deals to people looking to place their money in land.

@Greg Scott thanks for the comments, i forgot to add that i will be leaving the money in the stock market those are long term plays im not planning on taking that money out until retirement.

During inspection, they played hard ball and didn't really agree to much of anything.

I’ve been through multiple recessions (this will be another one) and I know now is not the time to be buying illiquid assets like mobile home parks in lower income areas.You should wait 6-9 months to see how this plays out.

To be honest, I don't think anyone has any idea how this will play out.

Finding ways to keep your contractors motivated, especially in times like these is going to play a big part in your ability to keep construction moving along.
