Vacant land/lots during recession
I mainly sell alot of SFRs and Condos and over the last month I have been looking into land sales. Telephone prospecting has been the life blood of my business and I am considering adding vacant lots and raw land lists to the database.
With the stock marketing dropping and home showings slowing down because of the virus and economic uncertainty. I am playing with the idea of calling land owners to buy cheap land for myself and broker deals to people looking to place their money in land. This also might help a few people that own lots become more liquid in tight times.
I have limited experience with land and have only sold a few lots and some acreage. My long winded question is how does land traditionally perform in down markets and who are the people looking to purchase land in down times?
