I perused the site, read a few articles that were sent to my email, downloaded the Bigger Pockets Ultimate Beginner's Guide (which I still haven't read), and ended up deactivating my account.

I signed up a couple of week ago and I have been reading the BP starter guide and their other real estate books to gain the knowledge that I need before getting into the game. 

If you're new to REI you should definitely check out The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to give you a great overview.

You will find everything you'll possibly need on this site & the vast majority of the people I have met through bp are extremely helpful and have guided me through a few things.
