Rich-What kind of food do you like?

Im not sure what safety procautions are in leases to help cover us on this.

And the ones that do most certainly won't be taking food out of the mouths of agents.As for telling them you'll be buying property with other people's money, I'm pretty sure that won't phase them -- I'm guessing that 99% of all real estate transactions are done with other people's money

This technique has some far-fetched assumptions baked in (such as finding banks that will take 60 cents on the dollar for performing notes, on the theory that the borrower MIGHT just stop paying on his underwater mortgage), but does at least attempt to exploit the crazy aspects of the current foreclosure crisis, so sure it's food for thought.And yes, a jumbo loan might be held in whole loan form (not sliced and diced) by a bank, similar to how a commercial loan would be held.

It is only $100 (I'm splitting the $200 fee with my friend) for a 3 day workshop, and I think it might even include food...if it does I will basically be paying $15 bucks a meal and hopefully learn a thing or two about REI and meet some local real estate investors......$100 isn't much for something that I will hopefully be able to use for the rest of my REI career...the speaker kept saying educating yourself is the best investment you can make, I tend to agree...I will check back-in after the workshop to let you know how it went..Dave

There was a bit of a safety net knowing that I was above the price the last investor gave them, but it's still progress.I'm up to 14 calls on 229 mailings, or about 6% response rate.

It's in reasonably decent shape but it does have aluminum wiring, which I would need to have replaced for insurance (and safety) reasons if I bought it.

With that, going up the food chain gets easier.I'm also surprised so many folks here watch MSNBC!

I see property ownership and rentals as the ultimate inflation hedge (Of course unless the whole economy goes Greece on us, and if in that case, only the producers of food have a chance anyways..)
