I went with the seller's title company as I thought that it would accelerate thing but it looks that I was wrong.

I just saw this article on Yahoo regarding where rents are rising the fastest and thought I'd share:http://finance.yahoo.com/news/cities-where-rent-ri...I agree with the article that it isn't really a great measurement of what is really happening in an area because it is a small sampling, but might help answer some of the questions posted here along the lines of, "What city is best to invest in?" 

Ive been reading and learning for months about multi family and buy and hold, and never thought my first deal might be a driving for dollars tax deed, so I am trying to educate myself a little more on the subject. 

I thought I would post this and see if I could find a partner or two to start my career in real estate investing.Basically, I want to be the money partner for the first few transactions to an experienced investor so that I can learn as much as I can about the business.

@Johnathan AlessoJust did some analysis and thought it would be a good place to invest for buying and holding.

Had we just poured the dye packet down the drain, we would have thought all was good.

At first, I thought the student rental market was a no brainer here, but after talking to a couple close friends, I'm not so sure.

I thought you could use a 1031 exchange to prevent paying taxes on flips by using the profits from one deal to fund the next deal.

My goals are lofty to say the least but I believe that it is possible to achieve them even thought my parents and everyone else says they are just not going to happen.
