My favorite is when you drop a tool/plywood/whatever into a hole in dry wall trying to fix it and then you have to make the hole bigger to get it back out.I've also managed to drop a screw driver into the back of a garage concrete had just been spread in, about 5 feet below the floor of the house.

I would definitely use some geographic analysis tool - which comes handy when looking at these things. it has made my life much easier.
