Now, some title companies are more expensive than others when it comes to the assorted fees for other aspects of a settlement, and some are reputed to include "junk" fees, so those are the sorts of fees that you can shop around for.

Costs vary from one intermediary to another - you can shop for one across all states, regardless of where you buy and sell.

Newbie investor here and am uneducated on the choices I have for a situation I'm in.I've always heard that the title company of choice used in a real estate transaction should be up to the buyer and that the buyer should shop/select a company based on their tenure/value/reliability/etc. 

Not sure terms of your Hard Money (if you work with any), but reach out to all of the HMLs you can here and on LinkedIn and get their terms and negotiate them...now that you've done 3, you can get better terms if you shop aroundAll the best man and contact me any time for any other questions.
